Submission Guidelines
Please review these requirements before submitting your manuscript to SNI Publications. Manuscripts are converted from Word to structured web articles—formatting below keeps that pipeline reliable.
Manuscript Preparation
Main Manuscript File
- Preferred & required for full web publication: Microsoft Word .docx
- PDF is accepted for Supplementay attachments.
- Do not upload legacy
.docfiles—save as.docxfrom Word or LibreOffice. - Enter authors and affiliations in the submission form (not only in the Word body). Affiliation numbers use superscript.
- Use clear section headings in the document (Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, References).
Word Limits
- Research Articles: 4,000–8,000 words (excluding references and abstract)
- Review Articles: 6,000–12,000 words
- Case Reports: 2,000–4,000 words
- Meta-Analyses: 5,000–10,000 words
- Short Communications: 1,500–3,000 words
- Letters & Editorials: 800–1,500 words
Abstract
Structured abstract of 250–350 words for research articles (Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion). Unstructured abstracts of 150–250 words for reviews and short communications. Include 3–8 keywords.
Formatting
- Font: 12pt Times New Roman or Arial, double-spaced
- Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides
- Line numbering: Continuous throughout the manuscript
- Page numbering: Bottom center
- Language: English (American or British, used consistently)
- Figures: embed as PNG or JPEG (minimum 300 DPI). Avoid EMF/WMF-only images.
- Tables: use Word tables (not screenshots of tables)

Supplementary Materials
Upload datasets, code, appendices, or protocol files on the Files step. Accepted types: PDF, ZIP, CSV, XLSX. Once published, supplementary files appear with the article.
References
EndNote (Recommended)
Use the EndNote Word plugin to insert citations and generate the bibliography.
- Insert citations with EndNote (not manual parentheses or plain-text numbers only)
- Format bibliography as EndNote XML / Word field codes (do not “flatten” citations to plain text before upload)
- Include a final References heading before the bibliography
SNI Publications uses APA 7th Edition reference style. All references must include DOIs where available.

If you cannot use EndNote, include a complete numbered reference list under a References heading in the DOCX. Optional structured exports in BibTeX (.bib) or RIS (.ris) may still be provided for editor reference.
Article Types
Research Article
Original research with novel findings. Must include Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion sections.
Review Article
Comprehensive review of a specific topic. Systematic reviews preferred. Must include search strategy and inclusion criteria.
Case Report
Interesting or instructive clinical cases. Must include patient consent and ethical approval documentation.
Meta-Analysis
Quantitative synthesis of multiple studies. Must follow PRISMA guidelines.
Short Communication
Preliminary findings, negative results, or methodological innovations.
Editorial
Invited commentary on published articles or current issues in the field.
Letter
Brief correspondence responding to published articles or raising new issues.
Ethical Guidelines
Ethics Approval
Research involving human participants must have been approved by an appropriate institutional review board (IRB) or ethics committee. Animal studies must comply with institutional and national guidelines. Approval numbers must be stated in the Methods section.
Informed Consent
Informed consent must be obtained from all human research participants (or their legal guardians). For case reports, patient consent for publication is mandatory.
Conflict of Interest
All authors must declare any potential conflicts of interest during submission. Financial conflicts, institutional affiliations, personal relationships, or intellectual property interests that could influence the work must be disclosed.
Authorship
All listed authors must have made substantial contributions to the work. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring all authors have approved the final manuscript before submission. Ghost or honorary authorship is not permitted.
Originality & Plagiarism
Submissions must be original work not published elsewhere and not under consideration by another journal. All submissions are screened for plagiarism. Plagiarism in any form is grounds for immediate rejection.
Data Availability
Authors are encouraged to make research data openly available in public repositories where possible. A data availability statement must be included in the manuscript.
Journal Statement on AI Use
SNI Publications requires transparent disclosure of generative AI use in manuscript preparation. Our policy is modeled on general publisher standards.
Disclosure is required
- All use of generative AI tools must be disclosed at submission, including tools used for language editing, drafting, translation, figure or visualization generation, data/code formatting, and reference gathering.
- Disclose the specific tool(s), when AI was used, and how it was used—both in the submission form and in the manuscript Acknowledgments for text or image generation.
- For AI-generated or AI-edited graphics, include a brief description in the figure caption so readers understand how the image was created. Provide fuller detail in Methods for substantial use cases.
- Optional structured reference exports (BibTeX/RIS) may still be uploaded for editors, but EndNote field codes in the DOCX remain the preferred reference path. AI-assisted literature gathering does not replace author verification of every citation.
Author responsibility
- Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and originality of all submitted content.
- AI tools cannot be listed as authors. Only human contributors may be authors.
- Authors must verify AI-assisted references, quotations, and factual claims.
- Presenting AI-generated content as original research data or results without disclosure is prohibited and may be treated as fabrication or falsification.
- Editors may determine that AI use is too extensive (for example, substantive commentary or extensive AI-generated literature reviews) and may reject the submission or request revision.
Permitted use (with disclosure & human review)
The following uses are generally allowed when disclosed and fully reviewed by the authors:
- Editing or formatting the manuscript to improve language clarity
- Assistance with drafting (with authors verifying and integrating all text)
- Translation assistance for publication language
- Refining or formatting research data presentation
- Illustrative figures and data visualizations (disclosed in captions)
- Refinement or formatting of analysis code
- Assisting with gathering or organizing references (authors must verify accuracy)
